Operation:Love Reunited-Pre Deployment-US Air Force

Operation Love Reunited has brought me together with so many families. It is truly a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful organization. On August 3rd, I met Chuck and his Family at their home in Navarre. We had a very fun session together. Little Conner wanted to show me his bright colored toy blocks even play the piano! Big Sister Ava was very interested in my camera. So much, I decided to let her take this picture of her mom and dad. I really only held her little hands as she framed and shot this; but I’m not too sure I should really even be putting my logo on it. LOL –   I think Chuck may have a little aspiring photographer on his hands.Chuck has since deployed oversees as of August 10th. My heart is with him wherever he may be and also with his family at home.

The Cason Family {Destin Family Photographer}

It is always an excitement to have a referral from a previous client! It tells me they were overjoyed with their photos and they want the same happiness for their friends! After reviewing  The Crawford Family Portraits, The Cason Family, of  Bossier City Louisiana, was excited for me to visit them at their vacation home with their friends at Miramar Beach on July 28th.

Among the 16 smiling faces, we had 3 little boys full of energy, 2 hearts about to become one (Congratulations to Mrs. Cason’s Son and his Fiance on their upcoming Wedding this October), and one very sweet baby bump!

It was an extremely windy evening, but we certainly made the best of it. Thank you so much to the Cason Family and their Friends for having me. I look forward to seeing you again next year!

Operation Homefront-Florida Backpack Brigade {Pensacola Charitable Event Photographer}

Operation Homefront is a non- profit organization that was formed in February 2002. It was developed to support the family members of deployed service members immediately following 9/11. Since then it has evolved to a major non-profit organization serving military families across the country with 23 chapters in 32 states. Its mission is to provide emergency financial and other assistance to service members and wounded warriors through a generous team of staff, volunteers and widespread support. To date they have provided more than $92 million dollars of funding to programs that benefit military families. They recently have teamed up with Dollar Tree to help collect school supplies from Dollar Tree Customers that were given the opportunity to purchase and donate them for the Nationwide Event,  “Back-to-School Backpack Brigade”.

Each year Operation Homefront chapters help military families get their children ready to go back to school by collecting new back packs filled with school supplies for school age children.  This assistance allows families to focus on the other important back to school expenses like new clothes and shoes.  Taking some of the financial pressure off during this important time of year, and also ensures that military kids can begin their school year with pride and confidence.  In 2009 alone, over 19,000 backpacks were provided to military children.

Recently, I have been blessed with a wonderful friend whose family is very active in participating in special events for OH and volunteering their time. She  lead the most recent event  On August 11 2010 as the project coordinator. I joined her with my children in helping stuff about 250 backpacks with a ton of awesome school supplies, then I was able to capture these smiles receiving them at Pensacola NAS, Cory Station. They were all very excited to go back to school.

We are looking forward to the next event being held at the Eglin Youth Center for the  Ft Walton, Hulburt Field and Crestview locations on August 28th from 12-3pm. To all the pre-registered families, I will see you there!

Here is a photo of our wonderful volunteers for the day. Thank you so much to everyone involved!

Operation:Love Reunited Pre-Deployment – US Marine {Pensacola Beach Photographer}

Classy, Fun, and Romantic!

Those words Depict this couples session perfectly! This fabulously dressed couple danced on the beach, they laughed and played, held each other and pretty much most of the time…They Kissed! (Not something I had to tell them to do)

Allison and Nick Met me on Pensacola Beach on Thursday, July 8th 2010 for their Pre-deployment Op Love Session.

Nick is a Us Marine stationed out of Mobile Alabama. Although, He will not be traveling overseas until August, his official departure from his beautiful wife Allison was yesterday 07.13.10 as he left to California for training before going to Afghanistan. She will be missing him for 8 months. This time will go by very quickly. We will all soon meet at his homecoming and he will be back in her arms again before she knows it!

Thank you so much to Nick for everything you are doing for our country. Thank you to Allison for enduring such a sacrifice of time without your husband so that he can be there for all of us. Your strength and endurance are qualities in you that I’m sure Nick has been inspired by to keep him strong and safe.

Please view the couples video made as an extra special gift.
